Hi there! I’m Olivia Davenport, and LupusDiary.com is where I write about striving to live a beautiful life with an unpredictable disease—Systemic Lupus Erythematosus. I was diagnosed in 2012, after 20 years of sporadic episodes of serious illness. This is where I share my hopes and dreams, my fears and frustrations, and where I show, in spite of it all, that I’m managing day to day, finding joy and happiness in the little things.

As my Mom used to say, “Olivia, it’s not what happens to you, it’s how you respond that counts.” So true, Mom, so true….

So, with that bit of wisdom, I’m sharing my life with you in the hopes that you, the reader, will find my honest reflections helpful to you or someone you love who might be facing similar struggles with Lupus.

I also hope that my Lupus Diary is looked at by the community of practitioners who assist people like me. From medical doctors to naturopaths, from physical therapists to acupuncturists, I hope they all gain insights as to how their Lupus patients are living from day to day.
